Is my shift solenoid broken?

i have a 98 s-10 blazer and i decided to change the tranny filter in it today(what a shitty idea that was!!)after fighting the pan for hours i finally got it back together and now i have a check engine light on.i checked the code and it's the shift solenoid.do you think i broke something in the progress or did i just knock something loose?i only want to have to pull that pan off one more time and i want to make sure i get it right the first time.
