Would this Fraternal Cult sound good for my horror book?

Cult of Bafometz-a secretive fraternal organization that is made up of male descendants of the Knights Templar who worshiped the idol called Bafometz; a horned god with the head of a man, black raven wings, a muscular human torso and shaggy hindquarters of a white goat; other idols include a silver calf, a skull and a wooden cat. The cult members practice Maleficium (harmful magic), astrology, idolatry, alchemy, usury, fraud and hermetics. They have a meetinghouse called the Bafumaria. Their special holiday falls every year on Friday the 13th. They dress mainly in red and white clothing.
